Seen mention of the HF 115 drill bit alot on this site and was wondering which one to buy? Cobolt, Titanium Nitride,or HSS?? Which one do you use? Thanks

Not following you here. One flute could run the entire length of the bit and the other could stop after one inch without effect... length of the flutes matters not. what does matter is distance from bit center to cutting edge (radius)... if those aren't even, you can get ovoid holes as the bit is pulled back and forth (with a perfectly stiff bit, the hole would still drill round, but all of the cutting would happen on the one flute).One other thing you may want to consider. In order to cut an accurately sized hole as opposed to a hole that is oversize, the drill flutes must be the same length. I don't remember where I got my flute ruler, but this is one listed as General Hardware No 16.
You use it to measure the length of your drill bit flutes. They should be the same length.
