My second faceted pen using a vertical mill and a hex collet block. I wanted to do another soon after the first to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Plus I made a couple of adjustments. First I made sure the top of the nib is aligned with one of the flat parts of the barrel meaning that if the pen is set down on a desk it I'll look right and the nib won't be rotated off to one side (and a lot easier to photograph). Also I focussed on keeping the edges a little more defined during the sanding and finishing.

I'm pleased with it and this will be the blueprint for any future hex models.

This one is made from cellulose acetate and has 13mm cap threads. The flats on the barrel measure 15.2mm across, and on the cap it's 16.2mm

Fitted with a Bock no6 steel nib and a cartridge converter.

Cheers
Ash

Ash,
I am consistently inspired by your work. I've only been turning pens for about six months but am strongly considering heading down the bespoke kitless route in the next year or so. Keep up the amazing work, and please keep showing us your masterpieces.

Cheers!
