Hello All,
Have an older unused Herringbone pen kit that I once purchased from Lazerlinez pens which are now no longer. To my dismay, over the years of sitting around a couple wood pieces are missing. I have 3 kits total. I can carve and have power carvers if needed.......anyone have experience with making a replacement piece to go with the pieces I have left for the kit? Doesn't look difficult and certainly wouldn't have to match perfectly since none of the other pieces match with perfect color. Would love to know any issues or experience if you've attempted this........Thanks in advance.

Give Tim McKenzie a shout. He bought the laser lines kits.
I don't see the herringbone, but it might still be in the works.

Spoke with Tim and no parts available so this is why I'm at the point I'm just going to have to attempt to make one. If I can just get it close which I think I can, it will blend in with the rest due to all the color differentiations.

It's gonna be a bit tricky.... unlike a flat puzzle you've got a curve involved. That's partially why we haven't taken to making these just yet. It requires a special chuck on the rotary of the laser to do right and I've not had time to really play with it.

Hi Tim and thanks once again for the clarity. This is why at this time I'm going to just carve one out. It's only one piece per set so I think I can handle that. Getting the right piece of wood will be the biggest challenge. Will stabelize it also to keep from chipping out.
