I have been busy lately (seems like all year) and have not had the chance to post anything. Here is an open reed predator call that I glued up using a herringbone pattern. It is made from purpleheart, canary wood, paduk, zebrawood, and bubinga. I made 2 3/4" thick blanks then flipped them in opposite directions and glued them together in order to get the 1 1/2" that I wanted. The blanks took about 2 weeks to glue up, then cracked down a seam when I tightened my call mandrel. So, a little CA and reclamped and it was good as new.
