Help with opening pen!

I received this pen a couple years ago, and I can't remember how I opened it. I think it's a simple pull to get the cap off, but it won't seem to come off now. It's a fountain pen, btw. Anyone familiar with this kit? Any advice or tips?

Looks like this one. I made a few a long time ago and they are snap on - pull off.
Don't know why you can't pull the top off.

Yup, I think that's the one, except this one is a fountain pen. Damnit, I don't wanna break something, but I've been pulling it pretty hard and it won't budge. I can't really press or push on anything because the top/clip is on the cap.

I really had to pull the two pieces, like scary hard, but I got it!

Glad you got it apart. It may help to apply a bit of dry lubricant such as beeswax or paraffin to make it stick less in the future.
Then again, it may not help. I've never run into that problem before. It certainly can't hurt though.
