help with block of acrylic

was wondering if i could get some help on how to polish a block of acrylic. about the size of a pen blank. :confused:

Clamp in a vice (protect the jaws with leather, rags, etc.). Use a ROS with the various grits on all sides, then buff with the usual lathe-based wheels.

Easy peasy

Might help to know a bit more about what you are trying to do...

You can always hand sand and polish it just like a block of wood (tho slowly, to avoid heat/melting...) Depending on how rough it is, a palm sander with 100-400 grit will smooth it out pretty quickly, then I would hand sand with 600-800-1200, then hit it with a buffing wheel...
