Well, how I don't know but it appears that I have a malware virus on my pc.
I did a google on Win 7 Home Security 2012 and it appears that it is making the rounds right now affecting some major sites. When I googled Win 7 Home Security 2012, from a non-infected laptop, one of the Google links took me to a site called TECH WATCH which recommended following certain steps to get ride of the malware which includes downloading and I think purchasing a program called Malwarebytes-Anti Malware.
I turned off the internet to the affected laptop and am using another machine right now. I don't mind buying software if it will work but at this point am a little leary of this whole thing, including the Tech Watch report, of being one huge scam!
I currently use a program called Ad Aware which was supposed to be pretty good but didn't catch this sucker, any thoughts or advice?
Do any of you PC gurus think the Tech Watch website is on the up and up and that their virus removal instructions are also on the up and up?
