Hi All, I need some help. I have a Jet Mini lathe and the locking screw for the quil is now stripped and I can not use the rachet style leaver any more to lock it down (See photo, A).

I do not know where to get a replacement, Jet will not ship to Canada. I think this maybe the same one on the Delta Midi, not sure, where can I get one??

Thanks!!!

Threaded handle

Jim,
.I found a similar handle for my mortising machine from McMaster Carr.

McMaster-Carr

I have one handle sitting on my (un)used Delta that I could send your way until you find a replacement.I have to order something similar as the handle on the tool rest on the Delta is broken, cheap plastic. The ones from McMaster Carr can be purchased in metal not plastic.Someday I will order a pair of higher quality, the only thing stopping me is overcoming the laziness to find out what thread size they are.

If not shipping to Canada is a problem, ship it here and I will then ship to you.

Go Wings!!
Andy

Jim just found this in a quick web search :Lock Handle Assembly, Tailstock [JML-59A] - $16.49 at eReplacementParts.com

No experience with the company but appears they ship[ worldwide.Although their lead time looks quite long.

If you are looking for the handle with the screw I have it. My jet lathe motor died. send me a pm and we can work out the details.

Aloha,
Stacey

My local woodcraft had several cam style options. Common parts, we just found the right thread that matched up to one of the jets on the floor and that was it.

Jim - If you cannot find an alternative or just want to order direct from Jet let me know. I will order it for you and send it to you.
