Help identify wood

I made a pen from an unmarked blank. It was very plain but had some grain when I finished. Does anyone have any idea what this wood is.

I know it's not cherry because I turn a lot of it. The blank was a pale light beige. Cherry has a darker reddish tint to it. I was thinking Lati but the grain isn't 100% what I would expect.

It might be Alder, it's a cherry lookalike.
