I purchased this rod a few years ago, along with some Cebloplast rods, and I am not sure if this one has a pedigree or not. My poor memory says it MIGHT have been represented as also being Cebloplast, maybe even as a hard to find item... but I am severely unsure of that fact. I will soon be selling most of my vast holdings of vintage resins, Bakelite, and otherwise highly desirable pen materials. Can anyone tell me if this rod has a pedigree? It measures 5/8" sq X 14 7/16" long. I will be most appreciative of any help with identification and/or valuation.

5/8" is your first clue, Steve. The early penmaking rods were all 5/8".

Yes, that is older (2000ish) and rubbery---I can't swear it is cebloplast, but it is "filed with" my cebloplast stash.

There's the official color code. No actual name though. As for value. I've seen them go for $30 here on iap and over $50 at pen shows.

That Mazzuchelli cebloplast is some of the nicest acrylic material ever made for pens. It is a bit challenging to work but sure does look great when done. Being that thin it does not lend itself to a lot of kits though.

Count on Jonathon, the Supreme Czar of Blankdom, to come through. I thank you, your Czarship!

I actually appreciate each of your responses, you all are great. Now I am rethinking selling this one rod, perhaps instead to keep it for when I am put out to pasture from the activity of SELLING pens. (I am putting myself 'out to pasture' sometime later this year, so I can concentrate on pen making without the "selling" part in there to mess things up.)
