help for pen nib dressing

I hope I have picked the correct Forum.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

I recall an article about the care of new fountain pen nibs and how to prepare them for use.

I have tried to find it but so far without success.

I have just replaced a nib on a Levanche pen with an italic nib for a friend at his request.
