Very excited to have been accepted. I've never had any form of social media so I'm not good at keeping up with stuff like this, but I really want to try with this. I just started turning a few months ago and am already bitten by the bug. I've worked in architectural millwork for a little over 10 years and the guy who took me under his wing that became my mentor, friend, and family passed away a few weeks ago. He gave me the passion for the craft of all things craft lol (painting, welding, millwork, glass work, stone work, etc) and it has recently hit me that a lot of people, even in the field, just don't care about the jaw dropping beauty that can come from wood especially. It kind of took the wind out of my sails. So finding this and just at a brief glance seeing such talented people all gathered to share knowledge and experience almost brought me to tears. I can't wait to learn even more!
