Hello from Western, NY

Hello everyone. I'm Rob, retired and live in Western NY. I just joined here and I have owned a Delta 46-460 Midi lathe for about 10 years but I am definitely a newbie when it comes to turning. I have made a few bowls, a few bottle stoppers and a few pens but that's about it. Recently I have been watching a lot of youtube videos and got excited about turning pens. Actually, I recently made a couple of polyester resin pens from blanks I made using Castin Craft resin and they turned out ok but I know there's better resins to use so I'm here to learn a lot about turning pens in general as well as acrylics and the best places to get supplies. Most importantly, I hope to get to know some of you.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I live just outside of Jamestown and if it wasn't for the pandemic, my wife and I would be in Florida for the winter. Hopefully next winter!
