Hello I live in the UK and have turned about 9 pens but I am now looking at turning a kitless pen in fact I have turned my first kitless pen about two weeks ago it was quite a big learning curve but I made it in the end. It was my own fault as I decided to use burl elm hybrid but it turned out quite well.

anyway hello and keep safe

James; Welcome! Keep that first pen. As you learn and advance, that pen will be a marker of how far you have come.
If you can take a photo, I'd like to see it..

Again Welcome!

Randy here is the Photo of my first kitless pen

I think it is quite a challenge to make a kitless pen from a hybrid blank like you did !!
Congratulations !! . Very well done !!

Yes I didn't make it easy for myself Thread was 14x1 and i lost the bottle to turn it down any farther so it would post after so many issues turning in the first place

Hi James,

Where are you in the UK?

Very good first Kitless. Keep it and don't sell or give it away. It will give you a lot of pleasure looking at it and unscrewing and writing with it for years to come.

Rugby! Wow that proves I'm an ignorant Yank. I thought that was a sporting event!
