Welcome, Ryan, from just a little bit west of you!! I hit the woodcraft in Addison once or twice a month, which depending on where you are in Carrollton might be just down the road from you.

Welcome to the madness, Ryan.

I'm putting a few links in here for reference –
This link has postings by different pen turners on what they wish they had known earlier:
http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=46654

This link tells of some "out of the box" tools/aids for pen turners http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66178

This one is a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't. http://content.penturners.org/articl...9/Acronyms.pdf

Welcome, Ryan! You will enjoy and learn alot from here. There are several pen turners in this area. I am just a bit south of you. We need to share some notes. Lyle is that cup of coffee still hot?

I use to live about a mile down the road from it, but just moved not to long ago. I still go there about once every two months.

Welcome to IAP, enjoy your experience.
Now, it's getting scary here since like the State of TX is so big, we are going to take over the IAP too. Lot of Texans on IAP.what can I say it has to be the Beer Pastry (or what ever hey call it, (now they can say Texans are not creative)) that is all over the news I guess. ro better, yet all those out of the world Texas Fair goodies.

Welcome Ryan from Houston!! Glad to have you here at IAP. Now you can open your wallet and say hello to the other woman. Pen turnng and all the wonderful blanks, tools and just stuff you'll have to have. WELCOME to the ADDICITION
