Well having read about this group on Kurt Theobalds writings in Wood Turning magazine, it seemed only polite to explore and join.

There's a lot to read and enjoy :smile:

So far only done Burrs pens, acrylic and bought some Cactus juice to try !

Great excuse to buy a vacuum pump and make some chucks! Anyone tried using Jo Sonja paint over matt black then finishing with acrylic? That's on my too do list but if anyone's already tried.... I'm all ears.

I had to look up Thirsk because I'd never heard of it before. Welcome from the other side of the pond and half a continent more.

very sorry for the most impolite late reply !

Thirsk is located in NorthYorkshire, England. and I'm about 8 miles out of town and 8 miles from the Black Sheep brewery which has an excellent restaurant and several wonderful beers to sustain the inner man.
