Hello all. New here, new to turning in general. Got a lathe a few months back for ring making and started turning pens on it about 2 weeks ago. Hoping to learn a lot and be inspired.

I'm actually in Cypress, so right next door.
Welcome from Wichita Falls. There are several here from the Houston area. Very active woodturning clubs in your area.
Do a good turn daily!

Great looking pens. Really like those blanks.
Welcome from the Rio Grande Valley, Mission, a mile from Mexican border.
When we lived and worked in Baton Rouge, we spent a lot of time at Avery Island (my wife mainlines Tabasco) and Prejean's just N of I10. I miss fishing the bayou!
