Hello,
My husband and I both retired a few years ago and have joined the "woodcrafters world". Together we have been making cutting boards for family and friends--loads of fun.
And...I have taken up pen turning after a friend of mine sold me his lathe, so he could upgrade to a fancier model.
I have made 9 pens, and I learn something new each time. I am keeping a picture log of the pens, and a written log of their description and the great learnings from each particular pen. The academician can retire, but some writing and documentation habits just don't stop!
We have a Rockler Woodworking and Hardware Store less than 2 miles from our house. I thought our inheritance would go to our kids--instead we just find ways to spend it all at Rockler's!
Looking forward to all I can learn from the association members.
