Hi everyone! Just purchased a small lathe and hope to turn a few pens, I look forward to sharing and learning from everyone on the forum. Completely new to this so please forgive any ignorant questions i may have.

Like Dirk said - there are no dumb questions. We were all beginners once and we are all still learning, so don't hesitate to ask any questions that you might have.
 
Welcome from western New York State. Ask any questions you have. There are always people willing to give answers, even to the most basic questions. Also, check out the library and previous threads. There is great info in both places.
