First of all, I'm overwhelmed by this site and look forward to getting my hands dirty. Since I own multiple pool cue repair lathes and enjoy fountain pens, I thought why not make one. So here I am eager to learn.

Hi Mark. Welcome to IAP and all it has to offer.
Also, welcome from San Antonio. I hope we can meet sometime - we have an IAP penturning chapter in San Antonio that meets on a monthly basis. We would welcome you to join us at our next meeting (we just had our Feb meeting last night). We meet on the first Thur at Woodcraft at 6:30. We usually have about 15 members at each meeting and normally have a demo and lots of discussion. Come join us.
