Woodworking has been a hobby of mine since my height school days over thirty years ago. Have been on this forum many times over the years but never became a member, because never had a lathe and have not turned since my school days. Just this past Christmas could not pass-up the purchase of a good used lathe for a great price. Turned about 30 pens as just in time for gifts. Your 'work' is just outstanding and very inspiring. Thank you for your positive, very informative friendly forum

Stevo; I see you are in TO. Care to be more specific (not your address, of course) major intersections is OK. Lots of members here from the GTA.

Here's a couple of threads that might interest you!

Stevo, I'm originally from Pickering. Actually I was born in Ajax Pickering Hospital many years ago. I've been a proud Calgarian for 15 years now. I can't tell you how nice it is to live in a city with a professional hockey team :)
With that said, welcome to the group.

Welcome Stevo

Can't wait to see some of your pens.
Getting a lathe at Xmas and then pulling out 30 last minute gifts is pretty impressive. You are obviously dedicated to the art.

Welcome, Steven! Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

One of the most important things is to be able to show off your work here on this site. The following is a great info article on "how to" by Jeff:

This link will lead you to a great place to keep your eye on things. It's kind of a guide to the who, what, and whatever for of the IAP site.

Here is another link - a PDF on the acronyms used here. I am sure you know many but this will help with those you don't.
