I purchased a lathe a few months ago, mainly making bentwood rings, and just playing around. I made my first pen last week and am hooked. I gave my first pen to my mom, before taking a picture of it, but it turned out much better than I expected it would. Definitely not perfect, but it was good enough that I already have requests for two more for her friends. I am very happy to find this forum, it's great to share information and ideas, and even better to find people who understand why you like to make pens! Since I don't have a pen pic I will share some of my rings.
