Have never turned a Pen
Other spindle work, yes.
No Bowls lol! Eventually and hopefully soon.

On and off woodworking hobbyist, pretty active for about oh, 17 to 20 years. Then a long Hiatus.
Started re-fitting the wood garage-shop in 2024, and though it has taken all this time, I am there now.

One reason I joined is to learn about Pressure casting and what can be made from the results.
Very recently joined the Dallas area wood turners, though I have not met anyone from there at this time.

Hot glue guns are worth more than their weight in gold as a general purpose jig making and fixing gadget!

Make sure you buy a variety of glue sticks for it as the properties of the hot melt glue vary enormously, from semi flexible to rock hard. I've found the ones used for carpet fixing especially useful ( rock hard when set ) but the semi flexible can be useful too. I have 3 guns with different glues in two of them .
