Hello from NJ

Hi All,

I am a newbi at woodturning. My wife came home one day from yard saleing and presented me with a "new" wood lathe; circa 1970. It's an old belt driven Sears unit w/ a MT1.

I haven't used a lathe since woodshop in 7th grade (1967 ) And would appreciate any help for someone just getting started with pen turning.

I would recommend you read this thread to get you started, you can also freelance surf this site as there is a wealth of information here. But this one kind of puts things into perspective very quickly and save you some confusion.
