Good evening everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name I s Bobby living in Central Mississippi. I have been tinkering on little wood projects for years but I am very new to woodturning. I recently picked up a 10x18 HF lathe from a friend. It does have the Morse Taper #2 Since I am just starting out. I opted to get the "starter' cheap chisels from HF to learn some technique with. I have on order several pen making tools and some blanks to practice on. Been getting a lot of my teachings from YouTube. So far I have made and bit driver and a couple pen cups.


Well that is enough for right now. I am excited to begin the journey into pen turning.

Your about 2 hrs away from me. Nice to have someone close that has the same addiction :biggrin: we need to try and get a Mississippi meeting started.

First Pen Turning attempt. Got the blank from Edgar here on the forum. not perfect but I am kind of proud.
