Not strictly a new member. Joined a while back, but never posted. Originally from Texas (San Antonio) moved to Nashville 47 years ago this month. Have been turning for a number of years, but not actively for the last 3 - did a house remodel and bunches of stuff got stored in my junkashoparage and could not get to my lathes. Still can't. But will retire soon, and will start turning again. Didn't start with pens, but quickly turned quite a number of them. Went to a penturners symposium (don't know if it was associated with the IAP) a couple of years ago. Had a great time, met some great people, and bought more than I needed to. But they have not seemed to be having the events anymore. Have made two kitless pens and want to learn to make more outta some of my purdy wood stash.

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you. But you will have to clear something up. Your sign-on name is Mike but in your information it is Henry. Which do want us to call you? is there a reason for the 2 names that you would like to share? By the way we look forward to seeing your work so when you get set up do show us. Henry is my first name and the name of my dad and granddad, so I was called by a short form of my middle name - so Mike it is! I was called other things in school - but we won't get into that! Must have joined in or around Aug of 2017 - I was involved in a group purchase of taps and dies. If I can figure out how to change the name on my information - I'll get it changed.

OK Mike it is. Changing info just click on your name in the banner line on top in blue. Click on account details and make changes. You can also add your signature name if wanted. I know many times including myself, people like to call the Op by their name and many times they will not have a signature name so they just click the log-on name and it will give their name if they filled the form out. I guess you would answer to both names so if you do not change anything it is fine. Again welcome.
