My name is Dave and I am extremely new to pen turning (and turning in general for that matter). My kids have finished college this past year and I decided that I needed a new hobby. I just bought my first lathe in January and have started to turn some pens.
They're very rudimentary compared to what I have seen thus far here, but everyone's got to start somewhere right?

Absolutely, we all start somewhere. I had never turned anything in my life before I bought a lathe 7 years ago, now I have two of them & still learning something new every time I use them.
