Hi all,
Delighted to have been accepted into the forum. Even though I turned my first pen in 2016, I still class myself as a newbie as I hadn't turned anything from then until a few months ago.
I was a stage manager/production manager in theatre for years, but it turns out my daughter is autistic/ADHD and me going on tour (the only way I can make a liveable income in the arts - Mayo is not Broadway!) was far too upsetting physically, emotionally and mentally for her, so I had to walk away from my career.
I'm in the process of being recognised as her carer officially. My wife works full time locally.
I am starting a new part time business selling pens and pencils at markets and Shopify for a bit of extra money (hopefully!)
I won't be using Social Media (Meta/Twitter) to market the pens because I blame them for so much of the division we are in our world. Maybe I'll find some like minded people here?
Anyway, thanks for having me. Looking forward to taking part in discussions and getting/giving tips and advice.
