Hi all. My name is Matt and I am from Olathe, KS. I'm excited to join the community! I have turned pens now for about 10 months off and on. I started turning because I wanted to make something for my father in law out of a tree root him and I took 7 hours to dig up. I'm pretty sure the crew installing fiber internet were laughing at us all day. Haha. I thought about what I might do for the gift and came up with pen turning. I bought a harbor freight pen lathe (and it's surprisingly reliable, especially for harbor freight) and have been hooked.

I'm excited to show off some pens, learn some new tricks and get some new ideas. Looking forward to contributing and meeting new people.
