Hello all!
Been reading here awhile finally thought I'd join. I'm in the Dallas area as it seems plenty of you other guys/gals here are. I broke my leg and ankle about 4months ago, wanted to find something to pass the time and decided about 2 months ago to try my hand at turning pens. I'm keeping busy and enjoying myself so far. Hoping to learn a bit and share what I can as I can

Here's a few examples of my work so far

Welcome also from North Texas, Your finish looks great for a beginning pen maker. You'll find this is a great community for help and learning. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Pens look great. Is that first one spalted water oak?

Spalted Marimba I believe

To all - Thanks! Glad to hear you like them. I picked up LOTS of finishing tips from this site and quickly found the CA process that works for me.

Wow, great start! Looks like you have your process down solid. Great looking material choices as well. Very nice pens.

Welcome to IAP. Please visit the Local Chapters - North Texas forum and subscribe, so everyone can meet you at our next meeting, probably around the first of February.
