Hello to you all. I am new to pen turning and find that forums like this are a source of inspiration and support. I have been turning for about 5 years, getting hooked from the start. Even though it is male dominated I have found as a woman that I have always been accepted in the world of turning and given no special treatment when constructive criticism was asked for, which I like.
So, I am now foraging in to pen turning after my daughter bought me the rotur mandrel kit and I love it.
This is the first pen I turned made from yew picked up at Gawtons Well at Knypersley. I gave it as a gift to the person who got the wood.

I look forward to learning lots here.
Cheers
