Hello from California!

Im glad i have found this site. I have been turning for about 8 months. I have been teaching myself on pieces of scrap wood. It has been alot of fun.

About 2 months ago i started making pens and bottles stoppers. To my surprise, i have sold 5 pens to some friends... just for cost of the blank and the kit. This so far has helped me keep my hobby going as they want more for Christmas gifts now.

Anyway, i look forward to learning alot from this site.

Hi Csr67, Thats funny... and so true! I guess when the town was being named it was spelled wrong and Manteca stuck. Trust me when i say Manteca has a lot of nicknames! In the grocery stores in town, i see alot Manteca on the shelves... kinda makes laugh everytime i see it..
