Hello everyone. My name is Dan and I live in a suburb NW of Atlanta.

I am new to turning. I've turned a whopping 2 pens so far in a class that I took at Woodcraft. I've recently bought a lathe and am in the process of setting up my workshop.

I'm looking forward to any tips, tricks and camaraderie that I can get. Thanks for letting me hang out.

Welcome Dan from Sylvania, Ohio. I've found the people and resources here at the IAP to be amazing, and the main reason I'm still making pens. Kudos to Jeff Brown, the founder and custodian of the IAP, all the volunteers that help keep this organization running, and the members that freely contribute their knowledge and camaraderie.

I have to tell you that you are local to some great guys there in Atlanta. Go to the next meeting and join in the fun. You will not regret it.

I miss the 'south' already!
