Been woodturning for more than 30 years but making pens for just the past few months after buying a buddy's pen making hobby stuff as he was downsizing and moving to FL. Found this site while researching pen making supplies and was impressed by the info available. Look forward to sharing ideas with the many talented makers here and being inspired to push the limits of my creativity in a new direction. Here's a pic of my signature pieces and a few of the 50 or so completed to date pens, gave away the rest. Glad I found this site and happy to be aboard.

Hi John !! . Warm welcome to IAP !! :)

I really like your bowls ... very beautiful indeed !

Your "shape-to-grain" choices are spot on, if there is such a thing ! . Never thought of that before, but your work really "pops" .

As for pens, you are already doing single-barrel slimlines ! Nice !! . I think you are going to be a significant influence here !!

Welcome from the UK.

Those are some beautifully proportioned bowls you have there. Table tops is nice too ! Nice to see a variety of work on display.
