Thanks for the warm welcome from all of you.

Here are a couple of pics of my "Pen Center".

I only have about 60 square feet of workspace in my cellar, so everything is in mini version.

I have combined bench saw, disk sander and lathe in one, works for me!

The unit is fitted with a foot controlled on / off switch, so if there is a problem I can instantly switch off.

The self centering vice and the pen press are also homemade.

I hope you like it.

Welcome Andy from a fellow Brit who flits between Somerset UK , The Black Forest and Ulm. That's a brilliant lathe combination, ( are you an Engineer by chance?) maybe you should sell those as well as turning Pens.

Looking for German themed inlay pen kits

Hi everybody, I`ve been snooping round the Forums for a while now, what a great source of info. this is.

My name is Andy Briggs. I´m a British expat. living near Duesseldorf.
Started making pens about two years ago, after building my own wood lathe.

I have got seriously wrecked in both Duesseldorf and Ratingen on several occasions...one of our main factories is in Ratingen..
