Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm from Albuquerque N.M. I was referred by Mark who happens to have the pen of the month in this group. I'm excited to be here and become a part of the association. I started buying pen kits and blanks at estate sales before I even had a lathe. Now I been turning about 8-9 months and am hooked. So I'm interested in so much this group and website have to offer. I'm new and a poor person that picked up a rich man's hobby but I plan on being here to stay. I've made about 50+ pens so far mostly slimline and Saturn about a dozen comfort pens and now I've been making European (designer) pens with the tenon. I've done ca finishes which are not my strong suite and friction polishes including ob shine juice and using the beale buffing system and the hut 2 step polishing sticks. I've done about a dozen acrylics or so and am just getting use to starting to use carbide tools.

Welcome from IL. This is The Site to join for pen making. There's Lots of sharing, support and inspiration along with a library full of good stuff! It sounds like you're off to a good start. Looking forward to seeing your work.
