Heart Benefit Pen

I have a good friend who's son was born 9 years ago with Left Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome in which the left side of his heart was severely underdeveloped. Through surgeries and lost of care from his mom, he has had a relatively normal life. Many kids don't make it, and if they do they require a heart transplant. He has gotten quite involved with the American Heart Association. He is this year's poster child for the Southwest Michigan Chapter. This pen is going in for a silent auction to help Owen, the 9 yo to raise money for an organization that is dear to him.

The pen is a self cast red and brown/black blank with the mended heart emblem incased in CA. What a bugger it was to photograph! But I am really happy with how it has turned out. Thanks for looking!

That's a great job on a pen for a worthy cause. It might have been rough to photograph but the final result is very good. I hope that it brings a nice amount at the auction.

Pens are a very difficult subject to shoot. Some even more so.
