I smelled some CA fumes and got a coughing spell. It wasn't getting better so went to Dr. who sent me to the emergency room at local hospital. They diagnosed that I had pneumonia and sent me home. Still not getting better so I went to my Cleveland Clinic Dr. who ordered a chest x-ray and CAT scan. This showed that I had a collapsed lung and a blockage. They ordered a biopsy. The biopsy showed that I never had pneumonia but in fact had a collapsed lung and lung cancer. I told my story to the Dr. performing the biopsy and she said smelling CA probably saved mt life. I have a fight ahead but will pull through because I want to go to the 2014 MPG>

Wow Bob, that's a tough one. You have to wonder about some of these doctors, but they are being pushed to see more patients all the time. Like you said, it will be a fight, but put up the good fight and beat it! We'll keep a spot open on the presenters list for you!

Bob - Hopefully you have a good support team at the ready, but please let me know if I can do anything for you. I can be at your place in 20 minutes.

Bob really sorry to hear about this. My prayers are going your way for a full recovery. They have come so far with cancer treatment. Hang in there and be strong. Like Jeff said get yourself a support group. I you need anything, please pm me, and I will give you my phone number.

My thoughts and payers are with you. If there is anything you could use some help with locally - JUST ASK.

You did a great demo at Hartsville - but looked a little tired.

I've spent considerable time myself at the Clev Clinic - you are in good hands.

Mark

Your successful recovery will be in my thoughts. Your own positive thoughts and of those close to you will be helpful to your recovery.

Its good and lucky for you that you went on to seek a second opinion.

No doubt, these are some tough times for anyone with a diagnosis of this nature. Bob, do your best to maintain your strength, positive outlook throughout this fight. You can do this! Wish you a healthy and happy new year!
