eBay's morning just went from bad to worse. The e-commerce site confirmed Wednesday that its corporate network was hacked and a database with users' passwords was compromised. While eBay says there is no evidence that users' financial information was accessed in the hack, the company is telling all users to change their passwords.

That's why I use the little RSA key token. My password on both ebay and paypal is useless without appending the rolling 6-digit code.

Will change anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

Very smart. I use LastPass to generate looooong, mixed species passwords and change them often. In fact, I don't even know what the password is, LastPass generates the passwords and takes care of logging me in and out automagically.

John Where do you get that key token. Just changed the password on Ebay and recently on PayPal. Where do you get Last Pass. Thanks

LastPass.com. There is a free version and a Pro version ($12/yr). The Pro version allows you to use tokens such as the YubiKey.
