I'm not far away, but will be in Knoxville from the Friday after Thanksgiving getting back late Monday. We will have a chapter meeting that night. Let me know your schedule.
Several years ago someone who was looking at my pens told me about a relative who was a real pen turner who lived in CA. Later I figured it was you. I really like you cigar pens, be sure to bring some in case we are able to meet.

A "real" pen turner. lol.... not sure what that means... we are all "real" pen turners. But that sounds a lot like my brother who likes to really brag about his "little" brother. (I'm neither little or young) I get a little embarrassed at times when we are out together and he starts talking about my pen turning. Perhaps I don't value it enough, but as a family member and the one who got me started in this whole thing - he really likes to talk it up. He's a good brother.

I'm there from Tues through Sunday... Well in actuality - Wed through Sat. And I imagine family will capitalize on the time. I was just kind of wondering who else was in the area. My brother has moved into other things since pen turning and I thought some local connections might be a potential to revive his interest. : ) Just bros looking out for each other. I'll give you a PM if it looks like a possibility to get together.

Martin, I regret I'm too far from J'ville. Wish you were coming to North Port. :biggrin: Look up Keith Larrett (VisExp) He hasn't been around the forum for a long time, but I'd bet he still makes pens.

I'm usually in Knoxville every Saturday at Market Square... but the Saturday after Thanksgiving I'm taking off, getting ready for the Holiday Market that will start Dec 1 on the square.... I'm about 50 miles south of Knoxville out in the sticks... I don't do many pens anymore, but I still turn about 4 or 5 days out of the 7 per week... mostly bowls, pepper mills and such...
