hawaiian desk pen

this pen is a modified slimline with koa, blue acrylic, mango and more koa with a few aluminum strips. the pen sheath is pride of india and the base of the stand is a piece of a juniper bush (this would be the only non-hawaiian wood ).

That splash of blue really sets it off. Looks a lot like a golf club when in the holder.

thanks for the comments... i didn't really have any nice boards sitting around to make a stand with, so i saw this little piece of juniper out of the corner of my eye and thought maybe... i'm pretty happy with how it turned out. i wish i'd drilled the sheath hole a little larger so it went down further, but now i know for next time... []

Nice shape to the pen. That's a great looking desk set. I will say, though, that it's a bit busy for my taste, especially the blue acrylic. However, I've already printed off the photo so I can steal the pen's modified shape!
