I've gotten a couple reports over the last month about people getting an error when trying to view the site. The error is:

Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site Web address. Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

This is a not a server problem, but an issue with the browser being used. It is conceivable that something on the site is causing it, so I want to investigate.

So, if you have gotten this error repeatedly while visiting our site, please let me know the following:

Your browser type (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.)
Your browser version (look on the Help/About menu)
Your computer platform and operating system (PC-XP, Mac OSX, etc.)

I'll try to track this problem down.

Post here or send me an email.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
I have the problem every day... I've attributed it to the new Norton program I put on... I had an error message that said I needed to uninstall and re-install Norton (I've been running it for over a year with no problems, then suddenly there is an error in my start up???) anyway, after I reloaded Norton, everytime I try to access the IAP (and the Pen Shop) I get error messages... if I disable Norton works fine.
I run IE7 (ver: 7.5.5730.11
Running on a DELL (I hate Dell - sounds like a Cessna about to take off) with Windows XP..
works fine as long as Norton is disable...

Jeff,
I get this problem every time I come up on the IAP... just started after I had a problem with my Norton and had to re-install it... if I disable Norton, no problem..
also have same problem getting into The Pen Shop.. but can do all my other wood forums okay.. go figure..
I use IE7, (Ver.. 7.0.5.5730.11)
Running on a DELL > Windows XP

I've been having the same. Was using IE6 and upgraded to see if that was the problem and still had trouble. Can get on with another computer no problem, and can get on with the troubled computer if I go through AOL and not my normal connection. Running XPSP2 on both computers. Problem with the Dell, Gateway and IBM laptop through same internet connection okay. Same problem with ThePenShop. All other sites seem to work fine. Just started a few weeks ago.

Jeff,
Sure be glad when we find out what prob is.. bummer not being able to pop in whenever I want.. I like to pop in, read a few posts and then go on to other things... always have to disable Norton, refresh IE and then pop in... sometimes even that doesn't work.. never had this problem until last couple of months.
