It's been a little while since I contributed some stupidity to the IAP, and I thought it was about time I did.

As we grow older, have you ever noticed that your body height decreases?? Yes, I hear you say, but the really strange thing is that your Arms become shorter, your Legs grow at an incredible rate and become several inches longer each year, but the overall body height gets less.

I think that is really strange, and I wonder if any of you have also experienced this phenomenon.:confused:.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,
Bob.

I know that it takes me all night, to do what I use to do all night.

Funny how in my late thirties I was looking for work and now when I am in my early sixties I have more work then I can do.

I see a lack of "common sense" in the world today. And respect for the other person seems to be a thing of the past.

And like Ron White says.... "You can't fix stupid."

Other things also tend to become shorter!

I can relate to the bending over and the arms are too short. I ask my nephew to pick something up and he squats down and pops right back up, no problem. I bend over I have 2 thoughts in my mind, one am I going to be able to reach the item when I get there and 2 will I be able to straighten up again without the back going out. The warranty on the body parts are wearing out.

Well , if they made you feel better Bob , I guess it`s up to me to make you feel worse . Just bend down farther and put your hands flat on the floor like I do .

I do that when I fall down:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

The last time I had my hands flat on the ground and was standing on my feet was when I was in a hole that I was digging to plant a fruit tree. Just like the hole I think I'm digging for myself right now.

Bob.

To be as efficient as I can, when I do bend down or get down on the floor, I try to make sure I have several tasks to accomplish down there. I have to help my wife with her shopping because of her back problems and when getting something off the bottom shelf always ask if she need anything else while I'm down there.:biggrin:

I'm a computer consultant, and that often means getting down and crawling under furniture to attach or remove cables and cords. My clients are getting tired of hearing "I'm getting TOO OLD for this!" Only problem is that almost all of my remaining clients are older than I am!

That observation is not cast in concrete - at 65 I weighed 250+ pounds. At 75 I weighed 160 plus 3 or minus about 1 pounds. My arms definitely got longer and my legs continued getting shorter. My legs used to go II now go (). Now my hair is like someone else said, it still grows but in different places than it used to.

I wondered why I was making all of these typing errors. My arms have gotten longer and the keys are no longer where my brain thinks they should be. Thanks for the explanation. I feel much better now. lol

The other day I had to use my glasses when looking in the mirror, Who the hell was that looking back at me. Must be an intruder in the house, then I realised it was me.?????
Every morning I have a bigger problem putting my socks on, the only explanation I can come up with is that my legs have grown longer over night.
While I agree with you Smitty, I still reckon my legs get longer or my arms are getting shorter. Has to be one or the other. LOL.
I used to be able to bend my right arm around behind my head, under my chin and touch my right ear with my right hand, I can still do that but don't bother with the behind the head business, just seems a waste of time. LOL.
Bob.
