Damn, George. With all we've been through together, I'm crushed that you didn't pm me before going public. I think that I might email the kind gentleman, tell him that I got his message and that I'm ready to proceed. Who knows? Maybe he has more money sitting around looking for a sap, er honest winner.

years ago my dad had a call from some salesman / scammer saying he had won a car , a diamond ring or something like 5,000 in cash and all he had to do was to buy some pens with logos on them for like 300.00 . it was somewhere is the states , what was funny dad said he would take a flite out pay him for the pens and pick up what he won ........ call ended

I had a similar experience to the $5000 won. I had entered a contest from a magazine and got the phone call that I had won $5000 worth of gold bars (a lot more gold then you'd get for that now, it was probably 20 or 25 ounces. And they would send me the gold as soon as I sent them $360. I said why not deduct it from the gold they were going to send me....I guess they'd rather owe it to me than ever cheat me out of it cause the only letter they ever sent me said I had it coming.

Chris, I will send you a check from my off shore account. I just need your bank information, soc. number, date of birth and full legal name.

I am really really confused ....

What is amazing to me is that there are folks in this life that STILL SEND THEM THE INFORMATION REQUESTED.

Dang, I didn't know that there was so much money to be "won". I know a bunch of folks from my 65 years of existence on this good Earth and I HAVE YET TO HEAR THAT ONE OF THEM ACTUALLY WON - OR RECEIVED ANYTHING.

Something is seriously wrong ... really wrong! OR maybe I am missing some important information. :bulgy-eyes:

I don't know but I think it is associated with the following:

Fe Fi fo fum I smell the blood of an Engllishman
be he alive or be he dead
I'll grind his bones to make my bread

(From Jack and the Bean Stalk - English folklore)
