Here's a few classic cigars. Nothing fancy compared to some of the beauties you guys have been turning out here lately, but they're popular and it felt like I needed a few more for gifting season.
  1. Yellow box burl in gunmetal.
  2. Argentine Lignum Vitae in satin (barrels polished more satin also)
  3. Kingwood in gold/gunmetal
I really thought I had a pic of that ALV before I set the pen in the sun to show the difference. I love that it turns green with UV exposure and the feathery grain pattern is really cool, too. I wanted to "age" it before I sell it so nobody complains about the sudden color change. This went from tan to what you see here in a few hours today. I rolled it over to "bake" the other side tomorrow.

Those look great! Excellent combinations of wood type and platings.

I love how the kingwood came out with the gunmetal and gold...and I love how the clip with that one is gold.

Great group of pens and blanks, I love cigars too. Easy to make (once you figure out not to mix up the upper and lower barrels :)), very modestly priced, yet gives you a great, substantial feeling pen...
