Hello all and Greetings from Nebraska.
Well, what a waste - I got in a hurry and didn't measure my bushings to make sure I had them laid out correctly, and what do you know, I had my finial and nib bushings swapped so my pretty Cocobolo blank turned into junk.

The bushings are pretty close in size so I didn't notice it until I pressed in the nib. Oh well, at least I was able to hammer the transmission and nib out to salvage the kit. Going to have to try to find another nice Cocobolo blank tomorrow - I'll bet I don't make the same mistake again (at least tomorrow anyhow). ;)

Have been there. Still live there. Hard to get out of there. My last piece was a Pizza cutter. I'm so talented I finished it without trial fitting the hardware. It is sitting by the lathe as a kick in the rear.
