I have had a Bock nib for over a year & 2 or 3 unusual taps & dies & have put off trying a kitless because of my skill set...(it is very lacking! lol) And I have an old wore out lathe to deal with! I have been working on my 1st kitless since last Saturday afternoon & boy has it been a roller coaster ride! This 1st effort has a multitude of issues. Everything from being too long to odd shaped & unmatched pieces.... I have enjoyed the mental activity though. However; I probably won't be making this my go to activity in the shop. I had rather stick to unusual wood grains & kits!
