This weekend Harbor Freight is having a tent sale. One of the things on sale is a 6" Digital Caliper SKU # 47257 for $9.99. Is this caliper worth buying? Also, while I'm there I want to pick up a punch set. Do I want the 5 piece long pin punch set?

Bob for 10 buck it's a good caliper....I got 3 of em! :biggrin:

I thnk you want the set of Transfer Punchs harbor Freight sells I forget how many pieces it has, Maybe someone else can chime in, but it's invaluable!
 
I agree on the digital caliper. Decimal inches and mm. Also buy replacement batteries.
I have the 5 piece punch set and have not needed any other sizes.

If you are going to do PR and they have the sonic cleaner with heater you might as well pick that up while you are there if it is less than $60.00

Don't worry about absolute accuracy with that caliper. You want repeatability of the numbers, and mine is great. I love it, bought it when it was $7.99 IIRC. I still use manual calipers a lot, but that little digital job is #1.
