I have to admit that I went out to Applebees yesterday and had a free lunch. Then my Wife and I spent the afternoon with my Dad at the Veteran's Home for a wonderful program and ceremony. Afterwards my Wife and I and my sister went to Texas Roadhouse where I had another free meal. It's not that I needed a free meal, but it was like a giant party for all kinds of Vets, young and old. While we waited in line for supper, we had the opportunity to talk in length with a wonderful WWII vet who had been a POW in North Africa, had escaped, and then fought in Italy. He had a twinkle in his eye and a purple heart on his lapel. I felt very special to be a part of this celebration, a celebration of thanks for our Veterans!
Thank a Vet!
Scott.
