I had no idea that the Canucks celebrated Thanksgiving until now!!
Just goes to show that we're never to old to learn summut!!
Is it based around the same ideas as the USA one?

Have a good one !!

Yep - it's just a 'harvest celebration' sort of holiday. Today, however, we have a snow day at school, with trees falling over from the sheer volume of snow and busses cancelled for the entire region; I wish I had dug up my potatoes last week!

Thanks very much. Looking forward to the organic turkey soon to grace, briefly, our table.

All the best
Pete

PS. Skippy we embrace all the good holidays, especially the ones with food and drink.

The Mrs just took the last pumpkin pie that she is making for the weekend, out of the oven. We will have about twnety people in to celebrate the season, and to give thanks. We do a large gathering like this twice a year, now and at Christmas time. The gathering at Christmas time though, is about twice as large as this weekend will be. We've been doing this for about twenty years now, so I guess you could call it a tradition.
